Greetings, my friend, how are you doing? I hope you're doing well on this Win It All Wednesday. And if you're not doing well, I hope by the time you're finished listening to this, you're back on your feet, you're back on your grind, you're back on the hunt. This is Wednesday. It can be a little tough, but you know what? It's Win It All Wednesday. So look, that's an attitude. Okay? We've been on the sweet spot here, resetting ourselves every single day. This is reset week. Every single day we're gonna reset ourselves. So by the time Wednesday shows up, you know how it is. We've already lived through the week. We already kind of know where we're going, we already know what the issues are, what the problems are. We're right in the middle. Sometimes we're ready to rise, sometimes we feel like we're kind of going backwards, and that's why we call it Win It All Wednesday. Not because you have to win everything, but you have to keep a winning mindset. Not to be perfect, but that you don't fall back and fall into old thinking that you won't make it, that everything is wrong, that everybody's against you, that kind of stuff. You've got to step into a winner's mindset. It's not happening, it's not happening yet. We add yet to it because you're a winner. So this is about just stepping into the part of you that knows how to compete with life in a healthy and focused way. That is what Win It All Wednesday is about. And look, the ancient wisdom gives us a verse today as we reset that hits this moment on the nose in 1 Corinthians. You've all been to the stadium and you've seen the athletes race. Everyone runs. One wins, you better run to win. That's right. That's a more updated translation in the message Bible. It's a little bit modern, but you get the idea. Everybody's in a race. We're all in this thing we call the rat race, and the Bible is clear. The word is clear. You gotta run to win. You don't run to lose. So I'm encouraging you today. It's not telling you to be better than anybody else, it's reminding you to show up as the version of you that's engaged, that's prepared, that's ready, and that's intentional. And you know you've got to practice those things as well. If you're an athlete, if you're an executive, no matter what you do in life, you've got to prepare and run to win. Seneca in the stoic world adds a timeless echo to this that I want to tell you. If you know the harbor you seek, the winds will be in your favor. When you know, my friend, what you're aiming for, everything inside you starts lining up behind it. And here's what the neuroscience says when you choose this kind of attitude, when you choose this kind of target. There's a part of your brain called the insula, the part of the brain that helps you sense what's right and what's important. It becomes more active when you start identifying your target, your goals, when you start thinking and acting and moving like a winner. You know how you do that? You square your shoulders, you look yourself in the eye, and you say, I am a winner today. Think of it like your internal compass, this insula, this part of your brain, guiding you to what actually matters. And when you just say it out loud and make it urgent and make it real, you've made your move on Monday, you took an action on Tuesday, you're seeing yourself today as a win-it all, win-it-all Wednesday kind of person. Guess what? Your inner compass clicks, your insula in your brain clicks, and the distracting noise starts quieting down. You stop scattering your energy, you start directing it, and you become a champion of what you do. So, today, my friend, I want you to choose one thing. One thing that deserves the best to you. Not everything, just one thing. Give it your presence, give it your attention, give it your intention, and give it your focus. Winning begins with choosing where you're going to focus and where you're going to point your strength and what you're not gonna be involved in. Aim small and win big. Take care of the small actions. Like we tell lots of the young folks that we work with, make your bet, start there. Start in a small action and see how big it becomes. This is Dr. Derek Sweet. You're listening to the sweet spot.
