Science Soul Success

We slow down long enough to answer a question most of us avoid: where am I winning right now. Then we redefine winning as an inner victory, stop chasing someone else’s scoreboard, and choose one mindset shift that changes the week.

Win It All Wednesday Kickoff;

SPEAKER_00

I don't know about you, but I'm sure glad it's Wednesday. And not just any Wednesday. This is Win It All Wednesday here on the Sweet Spot. I'm Dr. Derek Sweet. I'm your host of The Sweet Spot. I'm not just your host, I'm your partner. I am your teammate in the Game of Life. A game that we play every single day. We get suited up, we put on our uniforms, and we get out there to win. And you've passed me the ball today, and I'm gonna score that basket for you. Alright, I'm gonna pass the ball back to you too, and then you're gonna score for me. That's how we do it on Wednesday because it's win it all Wednesday. Do you get it? We're in a series, sweet spotter. We're in a series. Oh yes, this series is called Today's Word. We find ourselves in three of seven. We're gonna go over seven words in seven days. And today's word is

Where Are You Winning Right Now;

SPEAKER_00

win. And before I say anything more about that, I want you to stop. Just pause for a second. Obviously, if you're driving, you don't have to do that. But just stop for a second in your thinking. And I want you to ask yourself this question. Where am I winning right now? Yes, where are you winning right now? Now notice I'm asking, where are you winning? Not what you want to win or where you used to win, not where somebody else thinks you should be winning or what they think. I want to know what you think. Where are you winning right now? This week, in this season of your life. Where are you winning? Yeah, let's sit with that for a second on Win It All Wednesday. Because I think a lot of us, if we're honest, have a much harder time answering that question than we expect. We can list what's not working in about 30 seconds flat. If I said to you, okay, where are you not winning? Where things need to, where do things need to get better? What do you need to improve? You'd have answered that in seconds. The gap, sweet spotter, between where we are and where we want to be, and the thing that we haven't finished, the goal that keeps moving, we can always name that in 10 seconds. But where are we winning? That takes longer. How many places are you winning? And that right there? That pause? The fact that you have to think about that? That's exactly what today's about. And it's exactly why we've created Win It All Wednesday here on the sweet spot where we blend science, soul, and success so that you can celebrate your wins. Monday, we challenged you with the word move. Tuesday, you were called to act. That was our second word. Today's word is win. Win, win, win. I wonder who

Winning The Wrong Game;

SPEAKER_00

told you what winning should look like. How did you determine what's winning? You'll be surprised how many people are chasing a vision of winning that was handed to them by somebody else. By social media, by TV. Yeah, some standard was set by somebody else, and they say, well, that's what it should look like. And it's exhausting. Not because you're losing, not because we're losing, but because we're winning sometimes at the wrong game. Sometimes it looks like we're winning, but we're playing the wrong game.

The Real Battle Is The Mind;

SPEAKER_00

The Dhammapada, one of the oldest and most sacred Buddhist texts, has a verse that cuts right to the chase. You may conquer a thousand men in battle a thousand times. But the most powerful and noble victor is the one who conquers himself. You can have a million victories on the outside, and still the greatest conqueror is the one who can conquer themselves. The doubts, the fears, the anxieties, the worries, the old story we keep telling ourselves about why we're not good enough, or why we can't, or why this isn't going to work, or what's going to happen that's so bad. The habit that keeps running the same losing story in our minds. The voice that whispers, you're not ready, you're not worthy, you're not good enough. That's who you have to conquer. That's the real battlefield. The battle is for the mind, sweet spotter. And winning sometimes means you gotta conquer those things right off the bat. And you know what? Most of us never even suit up for that game. We don't even suit up for that battle because we're so busy fighting somebody else's battle, or we're so busy being in the wrong game that we don't even understand the real game we have to play and the real fight that's in front of us. And when your brain gets accustomed to fighting somebody else's batter, or being in the wrong direction, it's really tough. Remember, we talked about act on Monday, we talked about inertia, how something at rest stays in rest, how something in motion tends to stay in the same motion unless something external acts on it, and how hard it is to change direction once something is in motion. Those are all laws of physics and they apply to our mindset. So, yeah, we have neurological habits, we have biological habits, we have things that we're doing and games that we're playing that we shouldn't even be playing, but they're entrenched that we have to really take a moment to step back and ask ourselves hey, am I in the right game? Am I winning? Am I really winning? What am I what am I playing? Am I really giving the best shot for me to achieve exactly what I need to achieve today? And when you figure that out, you figure out the scoreboard that matters most in your life. Oh my goodness, are you free? You are free, absolutely, and you begin to train for it, you begin to change your attitude around it, and you are now playing the right game and doing the right things because you're on the right path, because you stopped to ask yourself Am I in the right game? And am I really winning here? Absolutely. And if you don't know if you're winning and you can't figure it out, the ancient wisdom has helped for you because here on the sweet spot, we're about science, soul,

Prepare Then Trust The Outcome;

SPEAKER_00

and success. So we always got an answer, and we always look at the ancient wisdom. In the ancient wisdom, it says this really cool phrase: the horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with God. The horse is made ready. God didn't say sit and wait, He said prepare. The horse is made ready. He said show up. The horse is made ready. He said, get your uniform on and get your game face on. The horse is made ready. Do the inner work, get yourself ready, and then trust that the victory belongs to something bigger than your effort alone. Yes, sweet spotter. You bring the preparation and let your maker bring the victory, and that's a win. Yes, yes, yes, sweet dreamer.

Your One Inner Win Assignment;

SPEAKER_00

Here's your assignment for today. Just one. I want you to identify the one inner win, just one that would change everything for you this week. I'm not asking you for a goal or a task, not something to add to your to-do list. What would be an inner win for you? Is it quietly, is it sort of like finally quieting the voice that quietly tells you you're not good enough or something's gonna go wrong or nothing's gonna work out? Is it choosing discipline over comfort just one time in an area where you know you're slipping? Is it forgiving yourself for something you've been doing or carrying way too long? Is it time to finally forgive someone else that you've been holding a grudge against? I don't know. Or is it believing, I mean really believing, that what you're building right now in your life truly matters. What's your win? Whatever it is, sweet spotter, name it right now. Out loud if you can. Yeah, take a breath. Relax. Because the moment you understand what your win is, you've already started winning. And that's it for today. It's Win It All Wednesday. The word is win. This is our third of the seven words we're gonna go through this week. So tomorrow I want you

Tomorrow’s Word And Subscribe

SPEAKER_00

to come back for word number four. Because tomorrow is Trust Yourself Thursday and Thursday's word. Oh, it's the one that holds and brings everything else together. Until then, I want you to go for the win and subscribe to the sweet spot. Go up and figure out where the subscribe button is to this, and subscribe. And then if you know somebody who needs to go for the win today and you want to help them, share today's message. I'll see you tomorrow for science, for soul, and for success in the sweet spot.
