Wow, you made it. You did it. Welcome beautiful souls. You did it. You're back here. You're back here on the sweet spot and you're in Finish Strong Friday. I'm Dr Derek Sweet, your host.
Speaker 1:As you know, I'm a board certified sports and performance psychiatrist and all week long here on the sweet spot, we have been delving into the power of pleasant words. We started on Making Moves Monday by talking about how pleasant words are like a honeycomb, how sweet they are to the soul and how healing they are to the bones, as we discovered in ancient biblical wisdom. We've seen on Taking Action Tuesday, that the power of words can actually secrete certain kinds of positive chemicals in the brain. We've talked about neurotransmitters such as norepinephrine and dopamine, brain-derived neurotropic factor, bdnf. We mentioned on Wednesday on Win it All Wednesday, we talked about cortisol. How small doses of cortisol in the morning are so good, with these powerful words. And now we find ourselves here on Friday on Finish Strong Friday and look, we have to finish strong. We've been doing great all week.
Speaker 1:The rock said it this way. He said the success isn't always about greatness, it's about consistency. Hard work gains our successes. It helps us be successful. Greatness will eventually come if we work hard enough and the rock also dropped this truth bomb. He said that rock bottom was the solid foundation on which he rebuilt his life. How powerful is that? No matter how far down you find yourself, there's always a way to come back up. Let the obstacle become the way today. Let nothing stop you today and let's drop a power poem for Finish Strong Friday, like we've been doing all week. Are you ready? Let's go? Finish strong. Ignite that flame, final push, raise up the game.
Speaker 1:Week-long grind about to peak. Now your power starts to speak. Every rep, each breath you take shows the champion that you make. Finish strong with your Lions heart. Watch your greatness tear it apart. Friday's force flows through your veins as your greatness breaks the track. Okay now. Okay, beautiful soul, this is your Friday finale, your moment to put that exclamation point on your week. I don't care how far you have to go. You, you're going to finish and you're going to finish strong, whether you are building from the bottom or reaching for new heights.
Speaker 1:Today, remember that every finish line is just another starting point and that the journey of a thousand miles takes one step. And remember how you finish shows who you truly are. It's not about how you start. It's really about how you finish. So make up your mind, even if you're not there yet, that you will finish this and you will finish strong. All right now. Thank you for joining me on Finish Strong Friday. You know what tomorrow is right. Tomorrow is Saturday and we call that Self-Care Saturday, looking forward to seeing what we've got for you tomorrow. Until then, I'm looking forward to seeing you either on TikTok, on X, on LinkedIn or YouTube. This is Dr Street. Stay blessed.
