Speaker 1:

Greetings and welcome. Welcome back, friends, welcome back, welcome back to the Sweet Spot. It's Take Action Tuesday here on the Sweet Spot. I'm Dr Sweet, I'm a board-certified psychiatrist, I specialize in high performance and it is my pleasure to be your host here on the sweet spot for Take Action Tuesday, the day we stop wishing, the day we stop waiting and start moving towards life in the way that makes us fulfilled. And this week we're building. We're building on what we started yesterday. We're building on what we started yesterday. We're building on something powerful the secret weapon, the superpower of silence.

Speaker 1:

Yesterday, on Making Moves, monday, we learned that the strongest move often begins with stillness, a pause, that pearl of wisdom. Power isn't in the noise, it's in the quiet, courage to move with clarity. That was Monday. Today we go one step further, because silence isn't just strength, it's strategy. My friends, in a world obsessed with optics, where people rush to share every step, what if your best move is made in quiet, confidence in silence? Research shows that working in silence actually activates your brain's default mode network, the DMN. It's a circuit in your brain that boosts your creative brain, your default mode network, an opportunity to synthesize and organize and categorize and to help you become more creative and it helps you solve problems.

Speaker 1:

Now let's talk ancient wisdom. In Proverbs 17 28, it says this Even fools are thought to be wise if they keep quiet, if they keep silent, and they're thought to be discerning if they can hold their tongues. Now, don't get that twisted. The verse isn't calling us fools. It's a reminder that, even when you don't have the perfect plan yet, silence gives you the space and it protects your process. And sometimes, in a room when I want to look smart, I just don't say a word. I say nothing and people just start thinking yo, you're sharp, you really know something. And people just start thinking yo, you're sharp, you really know something. It's amazing. And sometimes wisdom just looks like waiting until the work is ready to speak for itself.

Speaker 1:

You don't have to explain your dream, my friends. You don't need to defend your goals. You don't need to rationalize that to anyone. Sometimes the most powerful response is none. Just do the work, stay locked in, let your focus be louder than your feed. Let your focus be louder than your words. And practice this today.

Speaker 1:

Pick one goal or one idea just for you and keep it private. Don't share it. Protect it. Work on it in silence. There's a theory out there that the minute you share your goal and your plan with someone or your dream, it sort of waters it down and then it ends up being less urgent. Not to mention, people always have something negative to say about your dream or your plan or your goal and they can derail you.

Speaker 1:

So smart folks sometimes keep things close to the vest. They don't announce anything because they're not looking for validation from anyone looking for validation from anyone. Just move with purpose, in quiet and in silence. And remember this every win doesn't need a witness. Not every step deserves a speech. Quiet progress is still progress. That's right. My friends, carry this with you.

Speaker 1:

Strategize in silence the best war generals, that's what they do. The best strategists, that's what they do. Strategize in silence. Act with intention. Let your results make the announcement. You know that whole saying. Let your actions speak louder than your words. That's what I'm talking about here. On what take action tuesday all right now, so tomorrow we step into the mindset of champions. On win it All Wednesday you see, win it All Wednesday is about the mental strength that it takes to silently move forward and to focus and get to the goal. Until then, I want you to move quietly. I want you to move boldly. I want you to take action and let your silence speak volumes. Hey, I believe in you, my friend. I know what you're capable of. I got you. This is Dr Derek Sweet. Thank you for listening. To Take Action Tuesday on the Sweet Spot.
