Level Up 7/7: Take a Tip From the Universe Slow Down and Run Everything: #SlowDownSunday
Science Soul Success ✨
You ever think about how stars don't rush? 🌌
They burn for billions of years. Galaxies stretch across space at their own pace. The Earth spins every single day without stressing about it. The most powerful forces in the universe? They move slow. Deliberate. Unhurried.
And somehow we think we gotta run at a hundred miles an hour just to keep up with life.
On today's Slow Down Sunday episode of the Suite Spot, Dr. Derek Suite is inviting you to do something radical. Pause. Not because you have to. But because your soul needs it.
Psalm 46:10 says it like this: "Be still and know that I am God." Be. Still. Not be productive. Not be grinding. Be still. Because stillness isn't weakness. It's where clarity shows up. It's where you remember who you are. 💫
Carl Sagan said, "The cosmos is within us. We are made of star-stuff." You literally carry the universe inside you. And if the universe can move with patience, so can you. The stars don't stress. The moon doesn't fight the tides—it just IS, and the whole ocean responds. That's power. 🌙
H.E.R. said it in a way that hit different: "Sometimes you gotta let things breathe." Real talk. Not everything needs to be solved today. Not everything needs your immediate response. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is nothing.
Like the moon influences the tides just by existing, you don't have to force everything. Grace moves different than grind. Consistency beats chaos every time. 🔥
So what does slowing down look like for you today?
Unplug completely. No phone. No TV. No noise.
Sit in actual silence.
Walk outside without headphones.
Journal whatever's in your head without filtering it.
These aren't just "nice to do" activities. This is prep. This is how you fill your tank so you can show up Monday ready to move with purpose. 💪
The stars will keep doing their thing across the sky tonight. Slow. Steady. Powerful.
You can move like that too. 🎯
AFFIRMATION: I move with intention, not urgency. I trust the pace of my journey. Slowing down doesn't make me weak—it makes me wise.
STAY AMAZING!!!
This week was intense. If you made it through, you're different now. Share this with someone who needs to slow down. And subscribe to The Suite Spot—we're coming back Monday with something new. 🎧

Welcome, welcome, welcome. Congratulations. You've made it to Slowdown Sunday here on the Sweet Spot. And beautiful souls, it's a pleasure to be on this journey with you. I'm Dr. Derek Sweet, I'm a board certified psychiatrist who specializes in high performance. And as you know, I enjoy working with individuals who are striving to be the best version of themselves. We are all on this journey. And welcome! Welcome to the sweet spot. You made it to Slowdown Sunday, and I've got one question for you, my friends. When was the last time you paused? Not because you were forced to, but because your soul needed to. Galaxies expand over billions of years, right? The earth spins steadily, giving us sunrise after sunrise, asking nothing in return. Even the moon, without a single word, move the tides, the oceans, the seasons. Yeah, nature's never in a hurry. Nature's kind of slow, but so powerful. What a message to us today on Slowdown Sunday. That stillness, it isn't weakness. In fact, it's wisdom. And that's why the ancient wisdom is so powerful. How about that psalm that speaks about stillness? The very famous one, Psalm 46. Be still and know. Be still and know that I am God. Let me read that to you the way I would read it. Be still and know I am God. The first thing we have to do to encounter God is to slow down. And that's why we call this slow down Sunday. It's the perfect day to slow down. Even God slowed down on this day. Okay? So still this is not stillness is not just rest, it's revelation. Because it's in stillness that we find God, right? Be still and know that I'm God. It is in stillness that we find our truest selves. It's where clarity meets our surrender. It's where striving fades and trust takes over. But we've got to practice that. That's the secret. So many of us find no time to be still. We have no time to be still. And when we're still, we've got to like have the phone in front of us. We've got to have the TV on or the headphones over us, right? It's very tough to be still and be with ourselves and encounter the most high. In mindfulness, they have another beautiful quote that I love. The moon does not fight, it keeps its course. But by its very nature, it gently influences. Think about that. You don't have to push to make an impact. You don't have to hustle every moment to be powerful. Sometimes the quietest forces in the world are the most consistent ones. And you, beautiful soul, you are allowed to move with grace today. Yeah, as the saying goes, rest is not a waste of time. It's preparation for the next move. Remember, tomorrow is making moves Monday. So that's why we've got to slow down here on Sunday to fill our tank so we can make that move. So today, don't just rest, reclaim your energy. Let it fill you today. Let it reset your rhythm today. Let it sharpen your spirit for what's coming next. What would it look like to slow down on purpose today? To unplug, to sit in silence, to journal, to walk without your headphones on, to do nothing, and accomplish everything. Stillness is the gateway to divine direction, my friends. And the stars, they'll still be moving slowly, deliberately, purposefully, and intentionally, just like you. Okay now, this is the sweet spot. I'm Dr. Derek Sweet, and I want you to know, I know that I know that I know that you've got this. I believe in you. I want you to slow down, figure it out, figure out your five-minute slowdown today. And I'll see you next week. I'll see you for Making Moves Monday. New wisdom, new fire in the same strong soul that you are. Love and blessings. Take care.
